When Kimonos Save the Day
They come in all shapes and sizes.
They are mostly of colourful prints and fabric making them versatile for so many occasions. One of the main ways we wear kimonos is as cover-ups.
We wear them to hide an otherwise tight and revealing outfit, to give an illusion of length when we have a short outfit underneath, and/or to not show much skin when we are in our swimsuit.
I think you can guess how I used mine in this shoot. I couldn’t post a full on bikini shot so I decided to play around with the kimono. Think of it as a strip-tease. Giving subtle hints without going all the way in, having a playful vibe with them, almost like dangling a carrot to your victim :}.
I loved how it blended nicely with my environment. This is the rooftop area of BEST WESTERN PLUS Meridian Hotel. The pool is the centerpiece of the rooftop surrounded by a bar area, lounge room, balcony area and a central sitting area. Imagine having the whole area for a day with your friends, what manner of fun will you have?
